01 / MELBOURNEWorkflow improvement came first.
My career properly began as a Workflow Analyst at Stellar Asia Pacific.
I worked close to the people doing the job—understanding requirements, improving systems and reporting, and helping build practical tools including bespoke campaign software, a customer-lifecycle dashboard and automated reporting.
One change reduced a major reporting workload by around 80%. The lesson was not simply that automation works; it was that the right improvement starts with understanding the work properly.
02 / BRAYBROOKSThen the same thinking met an owner-led business.
When I returned to the UK in 2014, I applied that approach inside Braybrooks.
The work crossed processes, reporting, marketing and the website—improving how customers understood the offer while reducing administration behind the scenes. In 2020, I rebuilt the website around a clearer customer experience, and it has continued to evolve as the business has changed.
That experience still shapes JB Applied: a website is not a separate marketing object. It is part of how the business communicates, sells and operates.
