The Stable Studio at Lodge Farm

The Stable Studio is a new boutique, coaching-led strength and fitness studio at Lodge Farm in Old Knebworth, founded by Chloe and designed particularly for adults aged 35+.

JB Applied is helping take the business from early idea to launch—clarifying the proposition, creating the brand and content structure, building the WordPress website and connecting TeamUp for memberships, bookings, waitlists, payments and member self-service.

01

The brief was bigger than a website.

The visible requirement was a new website. The real project was to make the proposition, customer journey and practical operation support one another from day one.

The experience needed to explain a different kind of fitness offer—personal, welcoming and built around strength for everyday life—while giving prospective members a simple route from first interest to joining.

02

Starting with the business.

Before choosing layouts or plugins, we worked through who the studio was for, what made the offer different, how memberships and coaching would work, and what customers needed to understand before taking the next step.

“Strength for Life” became the organising idea: a clear promise that could shape the proposition, content, visual direction and future member experience.

Technology followed the customer journey—not the other way round.
03

Turning the proposition into a useful content structure.

The site architecture was designed around the questions prospective members are likely to have: what the studio is, who it is for, what makes it different, how coaching works, what membership includes and what happens next.

That created a clear route through the site rather than treating every page as a separate piece of marketing.

04

Creating a brand system that could grow with the studio.

The visual system brings together the existing Stable Studio identity with a restrained palette, clear typography and reusable page patterns. The goal was not decoration for its own sake; it was to create recognition, consistency and a professional foundation Chloe could continue using.

05

A WordPress build Chloe can keep using.

WordPress and Flatsome’s UX Builder provide the editorial layer for the story, coaching offer, membership explanation and confidence-building content.

Reusable sections and a controlled design system make it possible to add photography, update the offer and develop the site without every change becoming a redesign.

06

TeamUp handles the operational journey.

TeamUp manages the specialist functions it is designed for: memberships, bookings, waitlists, payments, forms, waivers and member accounts.

The website explains and reassures; TeamUp completes the operational transaction. The hand-offs are designed to feel intentional so customers understand what happens next and Chloe avoids recreating specialist booking functionality inside WordPress.

07

Designed for a staged launch.

The first phase supported pre-launch interest and a waitlist while the physical studio, photography and final operating details developed. The same structure can move into full launch without rebuilding the site from scratch.

That staged approach keeps the business moving without presenting unfinished decisions as final.

08

What the work has delivered so far.

  • A clearer proposition“Strength for Life” gives the offer a memorable and commercially useful centre.
  • A coherent brand and content systemThe business can communicate consistently across the website and future marketing.
  • A focused pre-launch journeyProspective members can understand the studio and register interest.
  • Connected customer journeysWordPress explains the offer while TeamUp manages memberships and bookings.
  • Less avoidable administrationPayments, waitlists, forms and member self-service sit in the right system.
  • A foundation for launch and growthThe website and operating journey can evolve as real behaviour and commercial data become available.
09

An ongoing relationship.

This is deliberately not a launch-and-disappear project. Once the studio is operating, customer behaviour, search performance, membership data and Chloe’s day-to-day experience can shape a prioritised roadmap for what to improve next.

Why this is JB Applied

Business thinking, brand, website and practical operations—treated as one connected problem.

The value is not simply producing pages. It is bringing together proposition, content, design, platform choices and the day-to-day customer journey so the business can launch with less friction and a stronger foundation.
